Breakfast worth taking a break for

Now this is a subject near and dear to my heart...I love all things breakfast. So brunch is one of my favorite things to do on the weekend. How about a list of the top breakfast spots in the city? And weekend destinations for brunch! Yum....


Breakfast Served All Day:

The Social House

closes at 3 pm...you will not be disappointed! their menu is delish. Black owned breakfast spot and another Lorenzo Wyche joint. Great food!

Ria's Bluebird 421 Memorial Drive S.E., Atlanta; 404-521-3737 - closes at 3 pm
killer pancakes...the crowd is always entertaining for people watching. Short satisfying menu that is easy on the pocketbook

Radial 1530 Dekalb Ave NE (404) 659-6594 funky little restaraunt with nice selection of breakfast items

omigod the sweetpotao pancakes and grits are divine..awesome selections of sweets also...

Original Pancake House various locations
Old standby with good reliable pancakes ..my personal fave is on Cheshire bridge

when you are the Tucker neighborhood drop on by this legendary mom and pop dive that serve killer grits...and all the fixins for the low-low

I love the whole "retro diner" vibe and the food is reliable. Brunch stops at 2 pm on the weekend
Gladys Knight Chicken and Waffles various locations
Gladys I'm glad your Midnight waffle train made a stop in Georgia. I do wish they offered more of a variety in syrup though..my fave is the Stonecrest location

Babbette's Cafe - french cottage that serves unbelievably fresh fare

legend has it that pioneers of the civil rights movement planned there strategy over many a meal at this Atlanta institution ..where all the church folks stop by for a good sunday meal

look no more..this is the quintessential spot for THE brunch in the city..reserve for special occassions and it aint cheap honey..so be prepared..but it will soothe that savage foodie beast within
